13th Annual Scientific Meeting & Continuing Education Day
25 - 27 August 2021
VIRTUAL CONFERENCE

REGISTRATION

Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation across the country, and the uncertainty surrounding easing of restrictions, the Australian College of Toxicology & Risk Assessment Organising Committee has made the decision to move our in-person Sydney conference to a fully virtual event.

All attendees to join virtually will gain access to the full virtual Conference platform and be able to connect with colleagues, view the presentations and witness the latest research from our speakers.

Conference delegates also receive on-demand access to all conference content and resources after the event.

For our ASM attendees, you also have the opportunity to attend a Networking Dinner in your respective state, pending restrictions.

Group discounts are available for groups of 5 or more individuals from the same organisation. Prices are based on per person.

Please note that EHA and RACI members are eligible to register at ACTRA member rates (select member when registering online and you will be prompted to select either ACTRA, EHA or RACI membership). ALGA Members are eligible for a 10% discount on non-member rates (excluding group and single day ASM registrations). Contact events@landandgroundwater.com for the discount code.

Goods and Services Tax (GST)

The GST is a broad-based tax of 10% on most goods, services and other items sold or consumed in Australia. For international visitors, a tax refund may be sought at the airport for goods purchased beyond the value of $300 and which are carried with them in their hand luggage when leaving the country. A tax refund is not available for goods or services consumed in Australia therefore the GST component of event registrations fees, accommodation, tours, etc. are not claimable.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Participants carry their own risk for personal injury or loss of property, including baggage, during the ASM and Continuing Education Day. We strongly recommend that, at the time of booking your travel and tours, you take out a travel insurance policy. This policy should take into account loss of deposit through cancellation, medical insurance, loss or damage to personal property, and financial loss incurred through disruption to accommodation or travel arrangements due to business failures, strikes, or other industrial action. ACTRA or the ACTRA Professional Conference Organisers, The Association Specialists, cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. Insurance must be purchased in your country of origin.

Disclaimer

ACTRA including the Professional Conference Organisers will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by participants or loss or damage to their personal property as a result of the conference or related events. Neither ACTRA nor the ACTRA Professional Conference Organisers, The Association Specialists, are responsible for any loss or damage as a result of alteration to the program, cancellations or postponement of the ASM or CE Day due to unforeseen occurrence or any other event that results in staging of the conference being impractical or impossible. Delegates are encouraged to take out their own insurance as necessary to cover potential losses.

Privacy Act

Australia introduced the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 in 2001. The Professional Conference Organisers comply with such legislation which is designed to protect the right of the individual to privacy of their information. Information collected in respect of proposed participation in any aspect of the ACTRA ASM or CE day will be only used for the purposes of planning future events and may also be provided to the organising body or to organisers of future events. It is also usual to produce a ‘Delegate List’ of attendees at the ASM and CE Day and to include the individual’s details in such a list. The Privacy Act 2001 provides that, before your name, email address, organisation and state/country and any further details can be published in the list of the conference delegates for distribution to fellow delegates or any other party, you must give your consent. If you DO NOT wish to have your name and details included in the Delegate List please indicate this on the registration form.
