Student Travel Grant

ACTRA is offering a limited number of travel grants for students to attend this year’s Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM). Student travel grants are awarded to eligible students who apply and can demonstrate outstanding research efforts in the field of toxicology and/or risk assessment, or ecotoxicology. Submissions are carefully reviewed and student travel grants awarded based on merit. Successful applicants will be chosen at the sole discretion of ACTRA. If no submissions of sufficient merit are received, ACTRA is not required to award the grant.

Student Travel Grant Entitlements

The travel grant consists of one free ASM registration (including dinner), economy return airfares and accommodation for the duration of the ASM (to be organised by ACTRA), total value up to a maximum cost of $1,000 incl GST. The successful candidates must present their research in a short oral presentation or poster presentation at the ACTRA ASM.

Who is eligible?

Current full-time or part-time undergraduate or postgraduate students conducting original research in the field of toxicology and/or risk assessment, or ecotoxicology are eligible to apply.

A current student is taken to mean a student who is enrolled in a relevant full-time or part-time course at the time of application to the student travel grant or is a recent graduate from their degree at the time of application.

A recent graduate is taken to mean the relevant degree was successfully conferred within 12 months of application to the student travel grant.

How to apply

Please download and read through the flyer and application form carefully. Submit a brief description (750 words) of your research and how it contributes to advances in toxicology and/or risk assessment or ecotoxicology along with the student travel grant application form and other required attachements by the 28 May 2021 to the ACTRA 2021 Professional Conference Organisers at actraconference@theassociationspecialists.com.au
